Proctors will follow instructions in Test Day Toolkit to administer digital AP exams. When proctors sign in on exam day, Test Day Toolkit takes them straight to the page for their room and walks them through these activities:
- Prepare the room - Proctors check their room readiness and write instructions, and a room code, on the board.
- Take attendance - Students will sign into Bluebook using their College Board log-in, and then enter the room code. Proctors mark students present in Test Day Toolkit. Students finish checking in to Bluebook.
- Start the test - Proctors read a short script, check desks, and provide students with a start code - read aloud and written on the board. Students enter the start code and begin testing.
- Monitor testing - While students take the test, proctors maintain test security and help students. The monitoring dashboard in Test Day Toolkit shows student progress. Bluebook times students individually, ending Section 1 when time is up. Students take their 10-minute break and then can begin Section 2 once their break is over.
- Dismiss students - When time runs out, Bluebook ends the test. Answers are submitted automatically if there’s an internet connection and students see a Congratulations screen. Proctors dismiss students after collecting their scratch paper and making sure their answers were submitted.
