Configuring Periods for Late Fees

For those schools wanting the system to begin charging a late fee during the fall semester but do not want spring-only AP classes charged the same late fee, Periods specific to the spring-only classes can be created. Simply go to AP > Configure AP Registration > Manage/Set Up Periods, click Add New Period, type the period name, type how the section/period name is listed in your College Board account, choose when the classes associated with that period begin (that is, do the classes using that period begin at the start of the school year of after the date the College Board starts charging a late fee), and click Save Period. 


You can then edit the AP exam from the Manage AP Exams page to link this new Period to the exam and teacher. 


The appropriate late fee that is set on the Late Fee Info page will populate for the students when the exam/teacher/period combination is selected during registration.
